What temperature does PETG print at?

Hotter than PLA: 220-250 °C at the nozzle. Most spools are happiest near the middle, so start around 235 °C and nudge from there. Nearly every one of the 200-plus PETG spools in our catalog that publishes temps lands inside that range. It's the rare thing the whole industry agrees on.

PETG bed temperature

70-85 °C. It grips the plate readily at those temps, so first layers are rarely the problem.

Is PETG hard to print?

Not really. Treat it as the natural second material after PLA, with two quirks. It strings, leaving fine cobwebs between the parts of your print. Tuning retraction (the little pull-back your printer does while traveling) cures most of that. It also drinks moisture: if prints turn bubbly or rough after the spool has sat out a while, a few hours in a filament dryer at about 60 °C brings it back.

When to pick it

Anything that has to survive real life. Clips, brackets, planters, parts that live outdoors or get dropped. Tougher than PLA, fine with water, and no enclosure needed.
