PCTG
PETG’s tougher cousin · 26 filaments
Easy with practiceWhy: PETG variant with better chemical resistance and clarity. Similar workflow to PETG.
PCTG, in plain words
What is PCTG?
PETG's tougher cousin. Same easygoing printing manners, with better impact toughness, better chemical resistance, and clearer clear parts. It's a small family here (a couple dozen spools), but a useful one.
What temperature does PCTG print at?
Hotter than PETG: 240-265 °C at the nozzle and 75-95 °C on the bed. Your printer needs comfortable headroom past 240 °C before this family makes sense.
PCTG or PETG?
Start with PETG. It's cheaper and sold everywhere. Reach for PCTG when a PETG part cracks on impact, when you want near-clear prints, or when the part touches solvents. Same skills, tougher result.
