PA6 (Nylon 6) is tricky on the Snapmaker U1
No enclosure on this printerPrinter
The Snapmaker U1 is open to the room, and PA6 (Nylon 6) warps and cracks in open air. Small parts can survive; for anything bigger, add an enclosure (even a grow tent or a box over the printer helps).
Use the lower end of the bed rangePrinter
Some PA6 (Nylon 6) spools ask for up to 110 °C on the bed; the Snapmaker U1 reaches 100 °C. Set the bed near 90 °C and add a glue stick if corners lift.
Keep the spool dryMaterial
PA6 (Nylon 6) soaks up moisture from the air, and damp filament prints rough and stringy. If that happens, dry the spool at 70-90 °C for 12-16 h and store it sealed with desiccant.
Buying the CF version of PA6 (Nylon 6)?
Carbon-fiber filament sands down the Snapmaker U1’s stock nozzle. Plain PA6 (Nylon 6) is fine; for the CF variant, fit a hardened steel nozzle first (a cheap swap).
Safe starting ranges for PA6 (Nylon 6) as a family, not gospel. Each spool below has its exact manufacturer numbers, the dated source, and one-click slicer settings on its page.
