The Snapmaker U1 is open to the room, and ABS warps and cracks in open air. Small parts can survive; for anything bigger, add an enclosure (even a grow tent or a box over the printer helps).
Use the lower end of the bed rangePrinter
Some ABS spools ask for up to 110 °C on the bed; the Snapmaker U1 reaches 100 °C. Set the bed near 100 °C and add a glue stick if corners lift.
Fumes: give it fresh airMaterial
ABS gives off unpleasant fumes while printing. Run it in a ventilated room you are not sitting in, or vent the printer outside.
Buying the CF version of ABS?
Carbon-fiber filament sands down the Snapmaker U1’s stock nozzle. Plain ABS is fine; for the CF variant, fit a hardened steel nozzle first (a cheap swap).
