ABS works on the Snapmaker J1, mind a couple of things
Use the lower end of the bed rangePrinter
Some ABS spools ask for up to 110 °C on the bed; the Snapmaker J1 reaches 100 °C. Set the bed near 100 °C and add a glue stick if corners lift.
Fumes: give it fresh airMaterial
ABS gives off unpleasant fumes while printing. Run it in a ventilated room you are not sitting in, or vent the printer outside.

The Snapmaker J1 is a closed box, so ABS cools slowly and evenly instead of warping.
Buying the CF version of ABS?
Carbon-fiber filament sands down the Snapmaker J1’s stock nozzle. Plain ABS is fine; for the CF variant, fit a hardened steel nozzle first (a cheap swap).
