PA6 (Nylon 6) on the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro
Yes, but it takes extra gear or care. The Neptune 4 with grippier extruder gearing. Same open frame.
PA6 (Nylon 6) is tricky on the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro
No enclosure on this printerPrinter
The Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro is open to the room, and PA6 (Nylon 6) warps and cracks in open air. Small parts can survive; for anything bigger, add an enclosure (even a grow tent or a box over the printer helps).
Keep the spool dryMaterial
PA6 (Nylon 6) soaks up moisture from the air, and damp filament prints rough and stringy. If that happens, dry the spool at 70-90 °C for 12-16 h and store it sealed with desiccant.
Buying the CF version of PA6 (Nylon 6)?
Carbon-fiber filament sands down the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro’s stock nozzle. Plain PA6 (Nylon 6) is fine; for the CF variant, fit a hardened steel nozzle first (a cheap swap).
