ABS on the Creality Ender 3 V2
Yes, but it takes extra gear or care. The classic budget starter. Bowden drive and a modest 250 °C ceiling.
ABS is tricky on the Creality Ender 3 V2
No enclosure on this printerPrinter
The Creality Ender 3 V2 is open to the room, and ABS warps and cracks in open air. Small parts can survive; for anything bigger, add an enclosure (even a grow tent or a box over the printer helps).
Stay at the cool end of the nozzle rangePrinter
ABS runs 230-260 °C, but the Creality Ender 3 V2 stops at 250 °C. Printable, just without the hotter half of the range.
Use the lower end of the bed rangePrinter
Some ABS spools ask for up to 110 °C on the bed; the Creality Ender 3 V2 reaches 100 °C. Set the bed near 100 °C and add a glue stick if corners lift.
Fumes: give it fresh airMaterial
ABS gives off unpleasant fumes while printing. Run it in a ventilated room you are not sitting in, or vent the printer outside.
Buying the CF version of ABS?
Carbon-fiber filament sands down the Creality Ender 3 V2’s stock nozzle. Plain ABS is fine; for the CF variant, fit a hardened steel nozzle first (a cheap swap).
Safe starting ranges for ABS as a family, not gospel. Each spool below has its exact manufacturer numbers, the dated source, and one-click slicer settings on its page.
