PA12 (Nylon 12) on the Creality Ender 3 V2

Not really; the hardware falls short. The classic budget starter. Bowden drive and a modest 250 °C ceiling.

Not a match

PA12 (Nylon 12) is not a match for the Creality Ender 3 V2

  • Nozzle can’t get hot enoughPrinter

PA12 (Nylon 12) needs 250-275 °C at the nozzle, and the Creality Ender 3 V2 tops out at 250 °C. This combination will not work.

  • No enclosure on this printerPrinter

The Creality Ender 3 V2 is open to the room, and PA12 (Nylon 12) warps and cracks in open air. Small parts can survive; for anything bigger, add an enclosure (even a grow tent or a box over the printer helps).

  • Keep the spool dryMaterial

PA12 (Nylon 12) soaks up moisture from the air, and damp filament prints rough and stringy. If that happens, dry the spool at 70-90 °C for 12-16 h and store it sealed with desiccant.
